So we got fingerprinted today. Yes. VERY exciting! Okay...not really...but it is cool that they don't use ink anymore. Guess we should have known that, but it was cool to experience the "electronic" fingerprinting system. And can I just say that on their forms they have you fill out, "pink" and "maroon" are listed amongst the choices for eye color?!!! I asked if they'd ever had anyone check one of those boxes. Surprisingly, they have not.
Other than that, we're patiently waiting for our home study report to be finalized. It's a rather big piece of the whole paperwork process. We're expecting it to be completed within the week. After that, we'll start filling out grant paperwork for as many grants as we can possibly find!
And Erin is still preparing for her trip to Rwanda and trying to work out the details for visiting the orphanage while there. We actually have a phone number for the orphanage now! Very cool!
We'll keep you posted!

When Bryan got fingerprinted for his green card 5 years ago it was electronic too. However he had to drive to Charlotte, NC. Then a year later they told him he had to do it again because it had been too long since he got them done. I thought he should tell them that he had the same ones as before, but he didn't think they would be amused.:)
Glad things are moving forward. We will continue to pray for you both and Erin especially as she prepares for her mission trip.

Jeremiah & Erin,
Chris Phillips pointed me to your blog (I went to college with him.) My wife and I are also adopting from Rwanda using AWAA. We actually travel this Sunday to Rwanda to pick-up our two little girls. We had our final travel call with AWAA today so we're ready (except for packing.)
Anyways, just wanted to say Hi and encourage you guys on your journey! You're with a great agency. If there's any way we can help you along the process let us know!
