A couple of weeks ago, I posted that we had received our final document for our paperwork (the coveted I-171H form), and that we would be sending our completed dossier within a week, as long as God provided a mere $1,650 within 7 days.

Well, we haven't sent the paperwork. I'll tell you why in a second.

But did He provide? Oh yeah.

In fact, He blew us away. Of course. If you ask me, $1,650 is a lot. Especially to come up with in 7 days, when we didn't have a penny to add to it. But not for God. He not only met our need, He surpassed it. By a lot. He decided to give us $4,200.

Why do we ever worry about these things? I mean, really?

For all of you who doubt God's existence or love for us, I'm here to tell you that you're missing out. He's real. His love is beyond anything you can fathom. This kind of thing doesn't just happen. We have gone weeks upon weeks without receiving donations. And TWICE now, with our backs against the wall, we have received amounts of money far greater than we've ever held in our hands! The first time we were in a jam, we needed $4,000 within a 1 1/2 weeks. Really. I mean, it was a situation where we simply would have failed if God had not come through. And God gave us $3,500 of it within 24 hours of pouring our hearts out to God. And now, He's done it again.

Coincidence? Please.

Don't tell me God isn't real. Don't tell me God doesn't love us. Don't tell me this is just a fortunate coincidence. God is real. God loves us more than we could ever imagine. And God provide. Make no mistake: GOD GETS ALL THE CREDIT. None of this is possible without Him. He is a God who knows you intimately and who wants nothing more than for you to TRUST HIM. I mean, really trust Him.

If you already believe in Him, can I ask you a question? What are you doing for Him that truly requires faith? What are you doing for Him that would absolutely fail if He doesn't come through? Because if you aren't doing anything like that, frankly, you're not living.

Now, like I said, we still haven't sent the paperwork. We've had a couple of hiccups, which have been frustrating, but hey...it is what it is. Just the way the process goes! We had to send for another birth certificate, because something wasn't done right on mine. And even though God has provided all this money, we won't have some of it for a few weeks, so we're still $200 short...BUT, as it turns out, God knew that we had a little more time to come up with that $200 (go figure). We had all of our paperwork "state certified," only to find out that they did something wrong. We thought it would take another week, but Erin worked her magic on the phone with the State people, and we should get that fixed by today or tomorrow.

So, we're now a day or two (or maybe it won't be until Monday) from sending out all the paperwork...Assuming that God provides us with another $200 in the next couple of days (seems like a puny amount for God to come up with now!). God is faithful.
