This morning we went to sign some really important paperwork - may not sound all that exciting for most of you reading it, but it was a pretty big deal and was a great step to have behind us. Then we went to lunch and then...to hang out with our kids for a couple of hours! We were late getting there, and apparently the kids were all asking where the parents were! They were SO excited to see us.

It was truly remarkable. At first, we weren't so sure how it was going to go...Elijah cried for the first 1/2 hour (big ol' crocodile tears), and Ellie started out a bit quiet. But by the end of our time, so many amazing things had happened and we were SO bummed when we were told our time was up. I (Jeremiah) was able to calm Elijah down and he fell asleep, and Erin had him giggling by the end of the visit. And Ellie...oh my...she is amazing. And SMART. She knows at least some of her ABC's (in English), seems to be good about sharing and listening, and repeats a lot of words. We had a blast hanging out.

One of the most amazing moments was having a nun ask her where momma was. She looked around and pointed at Erin all the way across the courtyard! And then she was asked where I was, and she looked up at me and pointed. Very cool moment. She also really seems to understand that Elijah is her brother.

Oh, and she loves playing with bubbles.

It was just a great day of bonding with two amazing children. We're learning more and more about their personalities and we feel so blessed that God has allowed us to be their parents. Can't wait to see them again tomorrow!
