It's really happening. This Saturday (26th), Erin and I will be flying to Rwanda, Africa to meet our kids. By this time next week, we'll actually be holding them in our arms. Words cannot begin to express how we're feeling right now, other than that it's a mixture of crazy excitement and nerves. God continues to blow us away...I mean, seriously blow us away...with his faithfulness and perfect timing.

We realized that in all the craziness and excitement, we failed to update our blog!

If you follow our blog, you know that we named our kids Ellianna (Ellie) and Elijah. Ellie will turn 4 in July and Elijah is 21 months old. We have one picture of each of them. Suffice it to say, they are incredible and we can't stop staring at their pictures (although, by now, we really have every last detail memorized and don't even need the pictures).

We recently learned that our pictures are being shown to our kids and they've been told that we're "mom" and "dad." And they know that they are now brother and sister. And at least Ellie has basic understanding that they're being adopted. Needless to say, we've been pretty emotional. This past Sunday, as our incredible church family prayed over us, I (Jeremiah) bawled like a big ol' baby. Erin bawled too, but that's hardly newsworthy. =O)

A special note to all the other families adopting from Rwanda who were ahead of us in line: We know how hard it must be to hear all of our news. Everyone has been SO incredibly supportive and we are beyond grateful, but we know that there's no escaping the fact it's hard to see people leave "out of order" ahead of you...when you thought you'd be the ones traveling. You just want to be with your kids. We all know that God's timing is perfect and that He's absolutely in control, but knowing this doesn't make the wait easy. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and we eagerly await news of your referrals!

We will be blogging as much as we can during our trip, hopefully with pics and video if possible. So...stay tuned!

In the meantime, we'll be packing!
