Thank you all SO much for your prayers! We did in fact pass court today - something that truly could only happen if God made it happen. What a relief! We're not out of the woods yet though. We need more prayers and more miracles. Tomorrow morning, we will go first thing to get the court ruling from the judge (he's being gracious enough to work late tonight to make this happen for us). Having the court papers means we can take the kids for the day! We'll still have to bring them back to the orphanage by 5, but this will be our first trip with them outside the orphanage. In fact, from what we understand, the kids only go out of the walls of the orphanage once a year, so this will be a very big deal!
We'll take them with us to get our documents notarized (another miracle that God made happen), and then to the immigration office to get the children's passports. BIG day. Still not sure when we'll be able to take the kids permanently (we'll still be waiting on more paperwork), but at least after tomorrow morning (and from here on out), we can take them for the day.
As we arrived at the orphanage today, they told us it would be good for the moms to go hang out with the kids and for the dads to travel to the notaries office in hopes of helping to get the process moving. So Erin went in without me. I prayed desperately for the kids to be very calm, knowing that Ellie has quite a bit of energy! It was amazing to come back and find that God answered that prayer not only for our family, but for all the families! Instead of the usual craziness and loud experience we have each day with all the dads there, it was total calm. I walked in to find the kids sitting quite happily and quietly with Erin. I got to come grab them and continue the calm mood - one child on each knee, playing very kindly. Erin had given Elijah a bottle and Ellie some stickers (graciously given to us from the Vaughan family!)...they were quite content!
Loving each day getting to see more and more of our kids personalities. We're getting to know them better and they're getting to really bond with us. Still don't know when we'll get to show pics, so please be patient! Can't wait to hang out with our kids ALL DAY tomorrow!

Yay, God! How amazing are his plans for us :) When things turn out so wonderfully we realize he's been guiding us to that place all along. How silly our planning and worrying seems when we see what he has in store. SO EXCITED for you!-keely

When we were in a similar position in Kaz, I found myself praying two scriptures: Everything in the heavens and earth is yours oh Lord and this is your kingdom. Your hand controls power and might and it is at your discretion that men are made great and are given strength and Do you not know, have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth and He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on winds like eagles. They will run and not be weary. They will walk and not be faint. (1 Chron 29 11-12 and Isaiah 40:28)
